This is an original poster advertising an exhibition at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, Switzerland.

"Light painting, photograms, photomontage - the search for a contemporary visual language for the post-war period inspired artists and designers to experiment with photography. Influenced by the Bauhaus heritage and contemporary gestural abstraction and kinetics, William Klein created photograms from 1950 onwards, Gérard Ifert made his first movement studies and Wojciech Zamecznik tried out light painting a little later. In their experiments, which they applied to advertising and cultural graphics, the exponents visualised their sense of speed and mobility. Based on the three exemplary groups of works, the show conceived by the Centre Pompidou and adapted by the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich sheds light on a particularly productive phase of the dialogue between photography and graphic art."
