This is a huge and very impressive art poster advertising an exhibition in Zurich, Switzerland, in 2006, with documents of the project "the gates" of Christo and Jeannne-Claude.
The poster bears the hand signature of Christo and Jeanne-Claude as well as the signature of the photographer (done with a fatty crayon). The poster is in very good condition with only light signs of handling. It comes directly from the collection of a co-worker at the exhibition.
Christo Vladimirov Javacheff (1935-2020) and Jeanne-Claude Denat de Guillebon (1935-2009), known as Christo and Jeanne-Claude, were artists noted for their large-scale, site-specific environmental installations, often large landmarks and landscape elements wrapped in fabric, including the Wrapped Reichstag, The Pont Neuf Wrapped, Running Fence in California, and The Gates in New York City's Central Park.
The poster is unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube. The price includes registered/tracked and fully insured shipping with national post.
