This is an original art poster by the Swiss Augusto Giacometti featuring an artwork of a red parasol infront of a mountain scenery. The poster was part of a marketing campaign by the Rhaetian Railway, advertising the Swiss Canton of Graubünden.
The poster is in good condition with light folds at the top right corner and light signs of handling.
Antonio Augusto Giacometti (* August 16, 1877 in Stampa, Val Bregaglia; † June 9, 1947 in Zurich; resident in Stampa) was a Swiss painter. He is considered an outstanding painter in the succession of Art Nouveau and Symbolism, an innovator of stained glass and an exponent of monumental murals and the designer of posters that became popular.
The poster is unframed and will be sent rolled in a sturdy tube. The price includes registered/tracked and fully insured shipping with national post.
